APEX Firearms Training Academy, a division of American Patriots Extreme Outdoor Club LLC; the most knowledgeable, with the best instructors in the state – with backgrounds in military, law enforcement, DHS, State Dept, and the like provide Arizona’s most premier Concealed Carry Weapons (CCW) course.

This is a non-shooting Concealed Carry Weapons Permit certificate course, but will meet requirements established by Arizona Department of Public Safety for firearms safety pursuant to ARS §13-3112.N. No live ammunition or firearms should ever be brought into the facility.

This course covers concealable pistol selection, Escalations Of Force(EOF), Disparity of Force (The 3 Pillars of Justification) covered in Arizona Regulations and Statutes (A.R.S. 13-400’s),basic pistol knowledge, from Semi-automatic (slide action), revolver (wheel gun) & all calibers such a .30 super, 9mm, .45 ACP and the like ; what to do – before, during, and after a defensive shooting incident, and legal information pertaining to use, carry, purchase, and ownership of a firearm and other concealable weapon types under A.R.S. 13-100’s.

Benefits of being a CCW holder include, but not limited to:

a) 37 states recognize the Arizona CCW permit for reciprocity, allowing you to carry concealed in their states with the Arizona DPS issued permit. Bordering states such as Nevada, Colorado, Utah, and Texas are just a few of these states. Other states with reciprocity will be listed in the course.

b) Under federal Law (USC 922(q)(2)(A)) It is illegal to transport your firearm within 1,000 feet of school grounds, unless you have a state-issued firearms permit (Arizona CCW qualifies under this)

c) Faster processing for firearms purchases by bypassing the NICS check with FFL dealers, by providing state identification and CCW permit, as your permit is your background check, having already passed an FBI criminal background check and finger printing.

d) Be able to carry into alcohol serving establishments concealed .

e) Allows for legal carry in state and national parks.

f) Serves as a way of informing a peace officer you have a firearm without having to say the word “gun” when interacting with them.

g) Physical – undeniable proof, issued by the government you are satisfactory in firearms safety and training, aiding you in a court case; need the moment arises to defend yourself or a loved one.

You MUST be 21 to obtain your CCW, 19 if in the military. Anybody can attend this course. the information can apply to all ages.

Associated Fees:

You will need to have your fingerprints done before submitting your packet to the state of Arizona. We do not require you to do them through us, however our trained and proficient fingerprint technicians will have someone offering fingerprinting services for $20 on site. Compare to other businesses that will charge $40- $80 for the same service and are not versed in the CCW criteria. The AZ DPS CCW Unit does not recognize any clearance cards, even if they are federal.

AZ DPS requires a $60 money order or cashiers check made out to AZ DPS. This is not included in the course cost, but is a State expense for background check to obtain your permit.

At completion of training, you’ll be certified with the American Safety and Health Institute(ASHI) which is based off American Red Cross (ARC) and American Heart Association (AHA) training curriculum
